Cisco Digital Building Lead (2015-2016)

• Core Software Group Technical Leader for taking network powered lighting from incubation to market.
• Recruited and led a development team in India to develop CoAP proxy and software features on new switching line
• Scaling product release by working with 10 partners via an open information model at IETF and Fairhair Alliance

Cisco CREATE Innovation Lead (2013-2015)

• Architect and research lead for Cisco CREATE Light as a Service. This was a 1.5M GBP research project funded by the UK goverment. The responsibilities included leading a team of 4 developers in London to work with researchers and startups in an incubator to develop proof of concept projects for LED lighting and LiFi
• Advisor on Cisco ASSURE Research project for securing Enterprise IoT deployments
• Organized a project with the Cisco Innovation Center Brazil for joint work on flood planning with Cisco CREATE London and Stevens Institute of Technology in New York.

Joulex Inc, Technology Advisory Board Member (2012-2013)

· Member of the Technical Advisory Board responsible for representing Cisco's interest in the energy management startup. Led to the successful acquisition of the company by Cisco

Cisco EnergyWise (2008-2013)

• Architect, inventor, and engineering lead for Cisco EnergyWise IP based energy management and distributed search built into Cisco's core switching lines (see whitepaper and video)
• Created architecture specifications, prototypes, designs and led the development effort through release as technical leader and engineering manager
• Championed the technology throughout the company including internal and external launch activities, CEO briefing, demos and standards
• Created a partner program and community with over 100 company members. Mentored and on-boarded companies advising on technology and direction
• Presented to partners, customers and filmed video marketing programs
• Worked with standards organizations by founding energy management working groups (IETF, ODVA) and bringing new technology to standards

Prototype Wired/Wireless Controller and Compilers (2005-2008)

• Created a prototype Linux based active SDN controller
• Created an Object Oriented specification language and compiler for advanced ASICs development and OS binding which is the development platform for Cisco’s access switching
